Our History
The Rancho Santa María Association was born in January 1995 in Arandas, Jalisco , with the firm intention of promoting and practicing quality charrería , preserving our traditions with professionalism, passion and respect for the national sport par excellence.
From its inception, the association set out to organize attractive and highly competitive championships , such as the traditional Anniversary Tournament , which is held every first Sunday of January , bringing together outstanding teams from all over the country.
With the vision that the effort of the charro should be recognized beyond a trophy or diploma, Rancho Santa María promotes a charrería that motivates excellence, rewards commitment and provides the public with high quality sporting shows .
Under that philosophy, the Tequila Cazadores Millionaire Tournament was born, with a limited registration of 21 teams and a prize pool of cash plus sponsorships. Despite initial doubts, the tournament became a resounding success , establishing itself as one of the most important and anticipated events in Mexican charrería (Mexican rodeo).
To date, 11 Million Dollar Championships have been held, positioning Rancho Santa María as a benchmark in the organization of top-level competitions.
